56 Inch 6 Ton Weight Strainer ID + OD FBE Coating
Description
> What It Is
A strainer is an industrial pipeline device that filters out solid particles (like rust, scale, debris) from fluid flowing through a pipe. A 56 inch strainer refers to its nominal pipe size (DN ~1400 mm) — a very large unit used in high-flow industrial systems. At approximately 6 tons, this is a heavy-duty strainer built for large diameter pipelines and demanding applications.
FBE Coating (Internal + External)
FBE (Fusion Bonded Epoxy) is a thermoset epoxy coating that is electrostatically applied as a powder and fused to the steel at high temperature, forming a tough, corrosion-resistant bond.
When applied both inside and outside the body of the strainer, it provides:
1) Excellent corrosion protection against water, chemicals, moisture, and soil.
2) Abrasion resistance to prolong service life.
3) Smooth coated surfaces that reduce fouling and improve flow performance.
Construction & Features
1) Body Material: Typically, carbon steel or ductile iron for structural strength.
2) Internal Mesh/Filter Element: Often stainless steel (e.g., SS304/SS316) perforated or woven screen to capture solids.
3) Flanged Ends: Standard flanges for bolting into a large diameter pipeline.
4) Large Chamber: Designed with a basket or screen housing that holds debris without causing significant pressure drop.
5) Heavy Weight (~6 tons): Indicates robust construction for high pressure classes and industrial use.
Common Industries
1) Water/wastewater & municipal treatment
2) Petrochemical & chemical process plants
3) Power generation
4) Oil & gas transmission
5) Large industrial HVAC systems
